Sept 4th I've had quite a few calls on the Albacore fishing so just wanted to let everyone know its been a tough year. The blue water and fish are still off shore 125 miles +. There have been a few single fish caught. I would rather put everyone on fish than take a boat ride. I will let everyone know when it happens. July 9th Went looking for tuna today ended the day with one yellow tail. Did not hear of any other fish caught today they should be arriving any day now the warm water is pushing in. July 7th The warm water is pushing in and I'll be running my 1st Albacore trip of the year on Wednesday the 9th. I'm offering a special rate for anyone interested in going on an exploration trip to see if we can find them, otherwise I'll be running solo. Call me for details at 408-348-4866. March 24th We are now taking reservations for Rock Cod trips, season open's on May 1st. March 15th Salmon season will not open as scheduled on April 5th due to the low returns. Nov. 15th Crab Two limits of Crabs today. Nov. 13th (Crab) Today we had 3 limits of Crab and 1 limit for the Captain. If you are looking to do a Crab only or Crab Rock Cod combo give us a call at 408-348-4866. Nov. 6th (Albacore) Our charter boated 3 Albacore out of 5 hooked today. All fish were over 30lbs. We were on top of a boil but could not get them to go on iron since we were not able to get live bait or our score would of been much better. Live bait is now avaliable they went out today and filled the receiver. Nov. 5th (Crab Cod Combo) Our private charter of 4 took limits of Crab and Rock Cod today on Flat Seas. I'll be running for Albacore in the morning. I'll be running for Albacore on Wednesday still have room call 408-348-4866 Nov. 4th (Albacore) With all the warm water on the outside I had a party of 3 who wanted to go looking for Albacore and it paid off. Nov 3rd (Crab) Today we ran a Crab only trip and our private charter took 3/4 limits of Jumbo Crab. We released about a dozen undersize. The Crab opener was not wide open most boats took an average of 8~10 crab. I'll be out chasing Albacore on Sunday and Crab Combo on Monday. After these series of storms move through and if the Albacore are still at Morro I'll be heading that way next week if I can get enough interest right now it looks good. Give me a call at 408-348-4866. Oct. 13th (Albacore) Well we finally made it out out to the tuna grounds after cancelling our last 7 trips due to weather. We found 61 degree water but the fish were not home today only heard of 2 fish caught. Looks like the fish our South of us from the Davidson down to Morro Bay, they will be moving our way. Oct. 6th (Rock Cod) Our party of 4 boated half limits of nice rock cod with the big ground swell fish were just not biting even with live bait. We fished the Davenport area. Sept. 26th (Albacore) Water was lumpy this morning but we made our way out to 28/37 outside of the Gumdrop. Ended the day with 7 Albacore from 21~33lbs for our party of 3. Sept. 25th (Albacore) You have good day's and bad one's and today was one of those bad ones. We fished from the Inside of The Pioneer to the outside and had no take downs did not hear of many fish caught today pretty slow for everyone. I'll be back out on Thursday looking in a different area. Sept. 23rd (Albacore) Left the dock at 4:30 and headed for the live bait receiver at 5:30 we got or bait and headed out to the Pioneer. We had a great bait stop today and it was wide open action from the start our charter of 3 boated 25 Albacore by 10:30 am and busted off at least a dozen more and they had all they wanted. Give us a call at 408-348-4866. Sept. 22nd (Albacore) Today our party of 4 boated 15 Albacore to 25lbs and our surpiise fish were 2 Yellow Tail that went 10 and 13lbs. We were fishing just inside the Pioneer. Weather conditions were snotty but we were still able to boat some fish. I'll be back out on Sunday if the weather conditions allow. Sept. 21st (Albacore) Fished out of Santa Cruz today covered a lot of water as far as the weenie and out and back to the weather buoy. First goose egg this year only heard of one boat that had a few fish. I'll be fishing the Pioneer on Saturday. Sept. 16th Took the day off looked at the buoy report this morning and it was blowing so we cancelled our trip. Sept. 15th (Albacore) Today our party of 3 boated 21 Albacore from 15 to 26lbs. I also heard of 3 Dorado and 1 Bluefin caught today by private boaters. If interested in booking a trip give us a call. Sept. 13th (Albacore) Wide open bite today once we found them we were fishing 16/25 in the rain. Final score for our party of 3 was 28 Albacore to 35lbs and 2 small Blue Fin to 12lbs. Left them biting. Sept. 10th (Albacore) Another day on the tuna grounds and it started off with a bang when all 5 rods went off with hogs. Bad news we only landed 2 of the 5 with 2 coming unbutton and one snapping the line with the fish boiling at the stern a private boater came right on top of us and put them down. We boated 2 more and ended the day with 4 Albacore to 32lbs for 3 anglers. Have room on Thursday and Friday. Sept. 9th (Albacore) The bite was slower today our party of 3 boated 12 Albacore to 20lbs. We will be back out again in the morning. Sept. 8th (Albacore) Today was a day to be on the water it was a wide open bite. Stopped at 08/03 10 miles short from where I wanted to put in since we spotted jumpers and it was non stop action. Our party of 3 boated 30 Albacore from 10 to 20lbs by 12:30 and they had all they wanted so we called it a day. I'll be back out again on Sunday. I had a cancellation for Monday so I have 2 spots open if interested give me a call at 408-348-4866. Sept. 6th (Albacore) Weather was good this morning 7~8' ground swell and no wind. We started at 03/08 and worked North to 09/09 Party of 2 boated 18 fish out of 26 hooked. They really went on the munch after 2pm and we left them biting. All fish were caught on the troll the live bait receiver was closed. Winds did come up around 10:30 out of the east but was still fishable but a sloppy ride home. My Friday Charter cancelled, next trip on Saturday have 1 space avaliable on Sunday and 2 on Monday. Stopped at 01/04 and trolled to 03/05 where we picked up 2 Albacore for our private charter. Winds were blowing 25+ making it hard to troll so we called it a day at 1pm and headed back home. Weather forecast looks like we will start having good weather again by Thursday. Sept. 1st (Rock Cod) Our orginal plan was to run for Albacore today but we scrapped that idea the winds were blowing on the outside, instead we went for Rock Cod fished Davenport for mixed bad of limits for our private charter. Aug. 31st (Albacore) Well we tried to get to the tuna grounds today but the weather gods did not let it happen. The futher we went the nastier it got so we turned around 25 miles out and headed back home. We will try again on Saturday. Aug. 30th (Albacore) Today our party of 3 boated 19 Albacore from 8 to 30lbs by 11:30 and busted off another dozen or more, then it was like they were taking a nap the rest of the day. Over half of the fish came on live bait. Aug. 29th (Albacore) Today I had 2 persons cancel at the last minute so I only had one person to make the run so he made up the difference. Started at 123.00 / 36.59 out to 00/05 stopped at 9 fish thats all he wanted so it was a short day for me. WE could of had all we wanted its a hot bite. Be back out again on Thursday and Friday. Aug. 27th (Albacore) Fishing was on the slow side today for everyone compared to the last two days, we metered lots of fish down 150' and saw several pods of jumpers but we just could not get them to go on a hot bite. Our party of 3 (Firemen from Chico) boated 6 Albacore from 22 to 33lbs. Aug. 25th (Albacore) I had a Father Son combo and there friend today and the weather was FAC. We hooked 15 Albacore and landed 10 that went 20 to 30lbs, and lost 5 at the boat. This was there first time Albacore fishing and 13 year old Freddy is hooked and ready to go again. We did have one bait stop where we had the fish boiling at the back of the boat. We hooked 2 then a boat came trolling right up to us and put the fish down. Aug. 20th (Albacore) Well we were back on the water again today trying to locate some more Albacore. We got a call around 11:30 that there was a bite at 55/30 which is approx 70 miles from the Harbor so we picked up and ran another 20+ miles and picked up 5 fish all in the 20lb range. Weather conditions were not the best so we pulled the plug and headed home. There is a lot of fish out there lets hope the warm water and fish move closer to shore Aug. 19th (Albacore) Today we tried for Albacore our charter of 3 boated 3 fish in the 20lb range. It was tough today trying to locate the fish but we did have one stop where I was throwing frozen bait and we had the fish boiling all around the boat lost a few and boated 1 if we would of had live bait it may have been another story. Aug. 9th (Albacore) Our charter of 3 boated 8 Albacore today to 28lbs. We were metering lots of fish but just could not get them to go on a hot bite. We were fishing at 55/49. I have room next week give us a call. Aug. 7th (Salmon, Rock Cod) Today I took a day off from the Tuna grounds and fished Salmon and Rock Cod. Our charter hooked 3 Salmon, 2 shakers released and 1 7 lb King. They also boated half limits of rock fish before the winds picked up which made the drift to fast. Aug. 6th (Albacore) The warm water has moved out but when we found it our party of 3 boated 11 Albacore to 33lbs. Give us a call we will do our best to put you on the fish. 408-348-4866 Aug. 5th (Albacore) Today was one of those days our private charter hooked 16 Albacore but only boated 9 and the surprise fish was a Yellowtail that was lost at the boat. Fish were from 18 to 38lbs today. Have room this week give us a call at 408-348-4866. Aug. 3rd (Albacore) Water was lumpy today and the warm water moved out another 10 miles but we did end up finding the fish. Our Charted ended the day with 9 Albacore and lost 4. Our surprise fish was a 14lb Dorado. Photo will be posted soon. Have openings next week and the weather looks to be good. Aug. 2nd (Albacore) Weather was perfect today and flat calm seas. The Albacore bite was alittle slower today but our charter of 3 did manage to boat 7 Albacore to 30lbs. We lost one at the boat that we never did get to see after a long fight the fish won we also had several short strikes. I have openings next week and the weather forecast looks good give us a call at 408-38-4866. Aug. 1st (Albacore) We ran for Albacore today and had great weather. Our charter of 3 boated 12 Albacore and lost 2 fished ranged from 18 to 33lbs. We were fishing 35 miles from Santa Cruz. We will be back out again on Thursday and have room on Friday. July 29th (Rockcod) Today our charter of 4 boated limits of Rock Fish and Lings we were fishing off NB. July 23rd (Salmon) It was a pleasure to have Jim and his Grandsons on board today. They wanted to try for salmon so we headed for the tip of the hole and put the lines in. It didn't take long and we released a nice Silver. We hooked 5 and boated 1 king at 20lbs and lost the other 3 close to the boat. The Grandkids had a great time even if they lost a few. There are a few Salmon still around all fish were hooked within the 1st hour then the bite shut down. July 22nd (Albacore) Weather man was not co-operating today we had 17 to 21 kts of wind on the Tuna grounds today. Our 2 man charter still managed to boat 6 Albacore to 25lbs. July 19th (Albacore) We left the Harbor at 5:30 and headed to the weather buoy in nasty conditions. Our Charter of 4 boated 6 Albacore all in the 20lb range and lost one. Considering the 20kt winds they did good. July 14th (Albacore) Today our charter of 2 boated 10 Albacore from 20 to 30lbs lost a couple at the boat and had a few short strikes that did not stick. We were fishing 30 miles from Santa Cruz. It was a good day considering the wind was blowing 15kts when we left this morning. July 12th (Albacore) Today I left the harbor at 12:30pm (late start). We put the lines in at 2PM approx 50 miles from the harbor. We hooked our first fish at 4:30, then the bite went wide open at 7pm we put 6 more in the box and lost 3 and called it a day. July 10th Update the Salmon fishing has busted wide open today with a mix bag of small fish and fish up to 20lbs out of Moss Landing. There are some Albacore being caught 65 to 70 miles out of Santa Cruz give us call at 408-348-4866. June 29th We went looking for Salmon today out Santa Cruz, our charter of 3 boated 1 salmon to 10lbs lost one at the boat and had several drive bye's. Went looking for Rock Cod but the wind was up and the drift was to fast. June 23rd Today our charter of 3 boated 3 Salmon to 10 lbs released 1 silver and had a few drive byes. June 20th Salmon fishing was better today we boated limits of fish for our charter of 2, fish went 5, 19, 22, 22.5 lbs. We were done by 11:30. June 16th Today we went south again looking it was a tough day until we went to the north side of the canyon where we found bait and birds working the bite turned on around 2pm we ended up with a fish per rod and a few drive byes. June 15th Salmon fishing was on the slow side today our charter of 3 boated 1 salmon to 18lbs and released several silvers. June 14th Our charter of 3 boated 3 fish from 9 to 18lbs, we had a couple of drive bye's released 2 slivers and a couple of shakers. The bite was alittle slower today compared to Wednesday we will be back out in the morning. June 13th Our Charter of 3 boated limits of Salmon today by 10:30 am. Our go home fish went 31.4 lbs. May 25th Our Charter of 2 boated 2 limits of Salmon today and 1 for the Captain by 9:30 fishing the East Side Soquel Hole fish ranged from 18 to 24lbs. Have openings for Sunday and Monday. May 24th Update: There is a new school of Salmon that has moved into the Soquel Hole, fish to over 20lbs were boated today. May 16th Our Charter fished for Salmon today at the Soquel Hole no hits, runs or error's so on the way back in we stopped and picked up some nice quality rock cod. May 13th Today our Charter of 3 boated one 21 Salmon and limits of Blacks, Blues and Olives we were fishing the local reefs out of Santa Cruz. May 11th Fished out of HMB today the bite was slower today our Charter of 2 landed one 15lb Salmon and lost another one. May 8th Salmon fishing remains very slow, today we fished out of Santa Cruz and covered alot of water, lots of bait but no fish for our Charter. Only heared of a few radio fish and the counts at the dock was only 3 fish as of 3PM. With the Salmon fishing slow I'll be heading up North where the bite is picking up south west of HMB or South of Pt. Reyes give me a call have openings this week. (408-348-4866) May 5th We satarted the day at the Soquel hole water was a little lumpy then the wind pick up around 11am. Our charter of 4 released one shaker before we got blown off the water. May 4th We fished the Soquel Hole today and our Charter of 2 boated 2 Salmon to 28lbs and lost 2 more at the boat. April 30th Rock Cod season opens May 1st and I'll be running Salmon / Rock Cod combo trips. I have openings this week for both Salmon or Rock Cod give us a call at 408-348-4866. April 29th Just to let everyone know I'm back from my family emergency and a special thanks to everyone who sent there condolences. The Salmon fishing has been up and down the last few days with fish still being caught to 30lbs give me a call if you would like to go. April 16th Weather looks like its going to finally coperatre on Wednesday and Thursday. I have openings both of these days and the Salmon fishing is still good give us a call at 408-348-4866. April 14th Weather was not the best today lots of rain some wind and by the time we got back to the Harbor it was blowing 20kts+, but our charter of 4 did manage to boat 3 3 Salmon to 23lbs and lost 2. If the weather is good in the morning we will be back out chasing Salmon. April 13th We fished off Monterey today and our charter boated limits of Salmon to 25lbs. April 11th Today we were trolling off PT Pinos and the bite was a little better today hooking 7 fish out of 12 take downs and we boated 4 fish to 23lbs for our party of 4. April 8th We made the run to Pt Pinos today and put the trolling gear in. We lost a nice fish that I estimated to be between 25 to 30lbs at the boat. At 12:30 we made a move and ran back across the Bay off Pajaro. Hit a double and landed both and that was it. Our Charter was happy with the 2 fish even though the biggest fish got to live another day. I have openings on Tuesday, Friday this week give us a call. April 7th Opening Day) Fished Soquel Hole to Moss pulled the plug at 3:30, ended the day with a fish per rod for 4. Easter Sunday we will be back out. April 3rd If the Salmon fishing is wide open on opening day (April 7th) I will be running a 2nd trip both the 7th and 8th, so if you would like to be put on stand by list for the 2nd trip give me a call at 408-348-4866. March 22nd There have been some incidental catches of Salmon while fishing for Mackerel and there is some big schools of bait and the Water Temp. is where we need it. Nov. 30th (HMB) Our customers only wanted Crab today flat seas and plenty of sunshine and limits of Crab for 4. I have opening's for Friday and Saturday and next week give us a call 408-348-4866. Nov. 25th (HMB) Today I took a day off and took my kids out for some crab and we got all we needed. Looks like the wind and swell will be up for the next couple of days. We have openings this coming week and Ling Cod season ends on Nov. 30th so if you want to get some ling before the season ends give us a call and book a Crab Combo trip. Nov. 24th (HMB) Today we had limits of Crab and half limits of Rock Cod for our party of 4. It was a little tough today getting rock cod it was windy and the drift was to fast next time. Nov. 23rd (HMB) Happy Thanksgiving, Today we had a party of 3 that needed some Crab for there Thanksgiving Dinner, pulled the crab pots and they were rewarded with limits of Crab and a few rock Fish. Nov. 22nd (HMB) Our party of 2 boated limits of nice quality rock cod and limits of Jumbo Crabs including the Captain. Nov. 21st (HMB) Crab Crab and Crab is the rule 3 limits of crab and 3 limits of rock fish and back at the Harbor before 2PM give us a call have openings this coming week end. Nov. 19th (HMB) It was a another nice day with very little wind and flat seas. We got limits of nice big Crab and Rock fish for our party of 2 + the Captain. Give us a call if you want to get some of these early Crab. Nov. 17th, 18th (HMB) Both of our chartes for Friday and Saturday produced limits of Crab + Rock Cod for everyone on Board. I'm also running just Crab trips need 3 to go cost is $60 per person. Nov. 16th (HMB) Crabbing continues to be good along with rockfish, I had a cancellation on Saturday so if interested give me a call. Nov. 11th Crab Combo Report. After checking the weather this morning and using good judgment I cancelled opening day and Sunday trips. It's better to be safe and wait for good weather. I'll be back on the water when we get a break in the weather. Nov. 1st (Santa Cruz) Our party of 2 boated 2 Albacore to 25lbs and busted 2 off at the boat we were fishing the 33/16 area. Great day on the water flat calm and t-shirt weather. Fishing both Rock Cod and Albacore and starting Nov. 11th I'l be starting Crab Combo trips. Oct. 28th (Santa Cruz) We went off shore today looking for Albacore our party of 4 boated 3 and lost one at the boat. The Albacore are running between 20 to 30lbs. We were marking alot of fish but just like Friday just could not get them to come up. I'll be running Albacore trips all next week for anyone who is interested. Give us a call at 408-348-4866. Oct. 27th (Santa Cruz) Fished the Dog Bone today for Albacore and our party of 3 boated 2 Albacore to 30lbs. We were marking alot of fish down deep 150' but we could not get them to come up. There is alot of fish out there all we need is for them to go on the bite. Oct. 26th I'll be running for Albacore in the morning and again on Saturday I have 4 spots open for Sunday and 2 spots for Monday if you are interested in going give us a call at 408-348-4866. Oct. 22nd (HMB) We were out chasing Albacore again today, this time we headed to the Pioneer and dropped the lines in at 37.23 and 123.23 and headed out. It was pretty slow so we moved back to the inside at 37.24 123.15 and started hooking up and boated 8 fish from 15 to 25lbs. WE saw lots of jumpers and fish crashing bait on the inside right when we pulled the plug at 5PM. We will be out chasing albacore this week after the winds lay back down towards the end of the week. We were fishing up the coast at Ano Nuevo. Oct. 15th (Monterey)We launched out of Monterey today and headed to the Davidsion in search of Albacore. Put the lines in at 35.58 and 122.31 and worked in a 5 mile area for 3 albacore to 29lbs. Water conditins were sloppy pretty much like a washing machine which made it tough today. We were marking fish down around 125' but they would not come up. I'll be running Albacore trips later this week when the winds lay back down if interested give me a call at 408-348-4866. Oct 1st (Morro Bay) Made the long drive down to Morrow Bay Saturday nite arrived around 11pm. I met our 3 customers around 5:30am and we were on our way to the tuna grounds. Water was a little sloppy on the way out but around 9:30 it flatten out. We started on the inside numbers from Saturday's reports only found bonita. Worked our way west to to 35 08 and 122 01 and boated 4 fish within 45 minutes. We heard of a good bite at 05/05 trolled to those numbers where the fleet was only one short strike. We made ou way back to where we boated our 4 fish and 3 rods go off only to find out they were Bonita. Ended the day with 3 peanuts and 1 15 lber + 6 bonita. Most boats had from 0 fish to 12 fish per boat. It was a pleasure having Bill, Keith, and Larry on board great company we will get them next time. Sept 29th There is a great Albacore bite out of Morro Bay, I'll be leaving on Saturday and settting up camp for a few days if you are interested in going give us a call at 408-348-4866. Sept 26th Well our charter of 3 said lets go find the tuna so we left SC at 5AM and headed south to 36.10 122.34 and down to the 07/35 line and then back out to 29/52 lots of bait good water but the bottom line there was no fish to be found. There are fish off Morro Bay lets hope they are tacking our direction. Sept 24th With the good weather we went looking for Albacore on the outside. We found good water bait but no fish today. Sept. 17th Well we finally got the boat back and we were out fishing for Albacore on Sunday. Our charter of 2 hooked 7 and boated 4 to 38lbs. Weather conditions were a bit bumpy but fishable. Sept. 2nd We fished for Albacore today same location NW of the Guide our 4 anglers boated 8 and lost one, water was a little bumpy today compared to Friday. Give us a call if you are interested in chasing Albacore at 408-348-4866. Sept. 1st Today we ran for Albacore NW of the Guide our 3 anglers boated 9 fish to 20lbs. August 26th (Santa Cruz) Today we ran for Albacore and our 3 anglers tried there best but we could not find them today. There were a few other boats fishing in the same general area but we did not hear of any fish caught today. I have openings this week for Rock Cod and Albacore. My next Tuna trip is this Friday and Saturday have 1 spot open for for Saturday. August 19th (HMB) Today we fished Albacore our charter of 2 boated 1 Albacore within the first 5 minutes and that was it for the day. Overall it was slow at best we only heard of 5 fish caught today and we were one of the lucky ones. We were fishing on top of the Guide. We have room for Rock Cod and Tuna trips this week give us a call. August 12th (Santa Cruz) Our party of 3 fished for rock cod today we ended up getting limits of Olives and Blues by 9:30 am. August 10th (Santa Cruz) We fished for Rock Cod today, our clients caught limits of Blues, Olives. We were fishing South Rock today winds came up early today. August 6th (Santa Cruz) Today our charter of 2 fished Albacore, they called me at 9 Sunday morning and we left the dock at 12 noon. Started to head for the guide but they saw some jumpers on the way so we stopped and put them in. Ended up with one triple and landed all 3 fish. Fished the 48,40 area and out to 45,55. August 5th (Berkley) Today our charter of 4 wanted to fish Duxbury so we launched out of Berkley. They boated 4 salmon to 8lbs and released 1 shaker. We started our fishing shallow but after no hits I told them to drop them down to 70' then bingo we hooked a double. Fishing overall was slow for everyone due to the water temperature being 62 degrees. August 4th (Santa Cruz) Our Charter today deceided to go Albacore fishing, Steve and his 3 sons. We headed out to 36.45 x 123.20 stopped short at 36.46 x 123.08 and it was fish on. That was the only fish we hooked and landed all day. Conditions were good lots of bait, metering fish down at 80 to 120' but just could not get them to come up. Looks like I will start running salmon trips to Duxbury if interested give me a call at 408-348-4866. July 30th (Santa Cruz) Today our Charter of 2 caught limits of Rock Cod we were fishing off Davenport. July 25th (Santa Cruz) Today our Charter of 2 caught limits of Rock Cod we were fishing off Davenport. We still have some openings this week give us a call. Now fishing Rock Cod, Salmon, Albacore. July 22nd (Santa Cruz) We left the haror at 4:45 am in search of Albacore water was getting ugly about 25 miles out but we continued until we reached the 30'32 numbers where they got the tuna on Friday. It was not meant to be today, 62 degree, blue water but no fish. We did hear of a couple of fish caught, with the seas getting more ugly we threw the towel in and headed back home. Mother nature was not kind to us today. We will be watching the weather and the next window we get we will be targeting Albacore. If you are interested in getting some Albacore give us a call at 408-348-4866. July 18th (Santa Cruz) Today we had a tough day, our 3 anglers boated 1 King Salmon, Lost 1 and hooked 2 Silvers. We ended up fishing for Rock Cod just catching what they needed for Dinner. (Overall it was tough for all the boats today fishing for salmon) I did talk to one boat who was on his way back in from the Tuna grounds with 1 Albacore he said he hooked a double and just landed 1. If the weather holds I'll be running for Albacore on Friday.. July 17th (Santa Cruz) Our Charter of 4 did a great job in landing 5 King Salmon. We
